Exposed scrambling on a pinnacled introductory ridge followed by tedious walking up open slopes of heather and grass. A discontinuous series of rock aretes on the upper face leads with increasing difficulty to the summit slopes.

jascott83 19 May, 2018 Solo O/S "Pinnacle ridge" in the new white book? short and fun! definitely recommended as you pass by on the road. Had to convince myself there was a way down from the pointed ridge. once I'd done those i returned to road rather than continue to summit

emlynroberts 10 May, 2018 Solo Great route, the porcupine ridge is the best bit, took on most obsticles direct

Astilath 10 May, 2018 Solo Picked out some trickier lines. Took some of the triangular faces direct. Probably pushing towards a grade 3 or more out of choice. Plenty to play with and safer options too.

maxsmith 15 Oct, 2017 Lead Great quick blast in the morning sun and really enjoyed the hand traverse. Take care of loose rock especially some suspect flakes.

Rob_Morris1996 15 Sep, 2017 Solo O/S Good fun, ran up to it between the showers. Fortunately the only bit of dry rock was the photogenic second pinnacle!

RuthW 27 Aug, 2016 Solo O/S Tried to go over the top of the first pinnacle, but couldn't see a way down for me - so had a wobbly down climb to do. Porcupine ridge was good fun and reasonably tough - probably to top end of what I would want to do solo.

jimorothy 8 Aug, 2015 Solo Re-checked. Sampled some of the VDif approach climb too. Super re-checked the 'complex' (very) but wonderful, adventurous and worth the epic connection 'Porcupine Ridge' - in fairly strong winds but glorious evening light.

jimorothy 27 Jun, 2015 Solo Superb, both of us checked crossing second pinnacle on both sides. Variations checked. Really enjoyed.

static266 16 Aug, 2014 Solo Took hard corner climb on right side of ridge in error at beginning - probably closer to easier climbing grades. Pinnacle section and Porcupine Ridge great fun but hard in windy conditions.
