116m, 3 pitches. The route lies on the north face of the stac. Step off boat onto seaward side of the stac at steep green wall, peg runner in corner for security, and climb to ledge and belay at 40 ft. Climb wall right of belay to higher belay ledge. From here follow steep groove above to reach left traverse line above the Great Arch overhangs. Continue traverse left into hidden corner, surmount wall and overhang above to peg belay on the Diving Board. Spectacular situation. A further 150 ft of easier climbing follows to more brocken rocks below the top. Scramble by loose chimney to the summit. The decent was made by abseiling down the 150 ft pitch to the Diving Board. The boat was then lined up below into which the party enjoyed a dramatic free abseil from a jammed nut. The rock is excellent and comparatively bird free. Serious undertaking!
Permission required from RSPB to climb, even outwith nesting season!
