200m, 5 pitches. On the south-east corner of Jebel Hathbut Suweibit (the mountain to the north of Jebel Suweibit Gharbia with ‘The Haj’ on it). 5 pitches at F3+, 4+, 4, 3+, 3. Starts from a small gully, ascends parallel cracks, overcomes a couple of ‘awkward mushrooms’, follows a ramp around the rest of the mushrooms, ascends the slab and then left trending crack, before joining the large black groove to the summit. Generally surprisingly good rock and solid belays from threads or cracks. Descent is mostly a walk off with possibly a short chimney down climb at the end.

βeta: Second time I'd done it. I thought it was all quite nice climbing up a good line on decent rock apart from a couple of genuinely damgerous mushroom steps and a rather dodgy belay on pitch 2.

βeta: Poor route description and an odd comment below here. The route looked pretty sketchy from below and so it proved. Rock quality on pitches 1 and 2 is really variable. Often super soft. We broke many holds. Climbing thru the mushroom on pitch 2 is probs now unadvisable. Pro is poor and rock is very soft. The belay below on threads is not much better. Above the quality improves, but overall it’s a poor offering in an excellent area. Easy walk off the back, circa 20mins back to the start

βeta: Good rock (as long as you check), good gear, mushrooms were ok, but only protectable from below.
