start around 30m climbers left of the base of 'Moby dick' and take a series of discontinuous ice bulges and slabs up through the trees, sometimes even climbing the trees. The main pitch is hidden slightly from the base, and starts about level with the top of the main pitch of moby dick. take this fall direct for about 20m up to 75deg ice. Can be used as an alternative to the final pitches of moby dick by traversing leftwards along snow ledges. There is also lots of ice between the main line of moby dick and this fall, which can be linked up as desired to avoid the crowds.
