βeta: Feechopf is looser and more sustained than last time I did it. All the rock flanking the crest is loose and some on the crest line. A table sized slab came away on the 1st tower. Sticking to the more difficult climbing on the exact crest is safer.

βeta: Descent to Langflue was rather challenging, many crevasses to negotiate but they did have bridges that held. We ended up sticking left by the rock wall, it cliffed out but we managed to get to the lower glacier via a 50m ab off a block (thanks to the Swiss couple for sharing ropes!)

BMaybee 16 Jul - Big but wonderful! Descent from Alphubel to Längflue was tricky with no track through the glacier, kudos to Tom! We ended up having to do a roughly 45m abseil.

roym 16 Jul - Top day out, great views, first alpine summits outside Cham. Descent made it an adventure.

Ross Davidson 5 Jul Lead dnf After the Feechopf, the snow was slushy and we were told the Felskinn lift was closed, so we turned back the way we came.

davkeo 27 Aug, 2018 Solo O/S After climbing the Hohlaubgrat on the Allalinhorn. Beautiful ridge & day. Top section to the summit of the Alphubel is an ice slope. Decided to descend to Langflue by reversing the ridge back to the feejoch. From there I followed the track from the Mittel Allain & continued down the piste to Langflue. This is the safest way, especially if alone, & minimises objective dangers. Made shit out of the nicely groomed piste in my rush to make the last lift down, which I just about made with 7 minutes to spare.
