JayAsh 19 Jul, 2018 - Completed in approach shoes, also guide and I decided to leave crampons in the car. Hard ice on the snow fields led to adventurous route finding, leading to fair bit of IV+ climbing, which was great fun. You can not circumvent all the fields so better to crampon-up (in case snow has not softened), or you end up using rocks as ice-axes - need must! :) Great day, great fun, having a few grades in the bag makes it a lot of fun. Had climbed V in Alps before, so this felt quite easy despite detours, short roped great deal of it, sustained and long day though. Highly recommended! :)

tobyk ?Sep, 2010 - First alpine route. Climbed virtually as a solo in approach shoes with no guidebook (we were very inexpenced at the time - we didn't even know there was a hut at the top!!) A steep learning curve, but an amazing experience with perfect weather.
