Seals breed in Parliament House cave during the autumn months and climbers should take particular care not to disturb them during the time from late August to late October when the young seal pups can be eailsiy sepreated from their mothers with devastating consequences.

A large (huge!) rockfall occured at the back of Parliement House Cave in 2017 which affects some of the routes in the cave and further rockfalls are likley!

Rockfax Description
A fine line that takes the blank-looking wall to the left of Britomartis. Start as for Britomartis.
1) 5a, 40m. Move down and left as for Britomartis, then move up the crack of Britomartis before heading out up left across a steep wall to reach the base of a steep straight crack above the arch. Climb the crack to a line of holds leading out left. Then head back right to gain a groove which is followed until level with the Britomartis stance - a traverse right leads to the belay.
2) 5a, 20m. Move across the wall on the left to reach the main groove. Climb this past some friable and creaky holds to the top. © Rockfax
