βeta: The Hell Gates Original start and the beginning of the traverse are currently covered in dust from the drilling works. It\'s not the kind of dust you can brush/blow off, sadly. Seems to have mixed with moisture to create a crumbly, almost cement-like coating on all the rock. I also don\'t see any reason to break the traverse into 2 pitches; you\'d just be left with an uncomfortable hanging belay for no benefit . | βeta? | |
