βeta: Just adding to above, Slingsby's Chimney's desperate but only for about three moves right above the stance. Rest is straightforward. Overall grade surely can't be more than IV. Regarding the FA, certainly not 1995, we did it in 1979 and I would have thought lots had done it before then.

βeta: Certainly a brilliant route. In the conditions we did it, powder + verglas, getting started on Slingsby's Chimney itself was much the hardest bit.
