633m. Mr Wainwright didnt rate this fell very highly, and thats understandable, and hence didnt really give much of a description in book 5. However, paths have been created by walkers since the guides were writen, and now a clear way exists from the Skiddaw house road from Threlkeld, at a point where a concrete bridge crosses Sinen Gill. The path keeps to the height of the land on a broad ridge and leads directly to the summit. The later generation of walkers have chosen to site the cairn at a junction of paths leading to the Glenderamackin Col, where AW didnt really pinpoint a summit in his books, because at that time, 1961 there would have been next to no visitors up there to define one!
The whole fell is quite spongy and wet underfoot so dry conditions would be ideal for an ascent.

βeta: The path from Glenderamacklin col presses determinedly through very squelchy ground. The lone rock tells you there are less than 10 minutes to the summit.
