βeta: The art of the sandbag is not dead. The gear at half height is not 'in the gully' and is easily reached without going off route so doesn't even qualify as a side runner. However, getting that far is unprotected 4a padding, and the final moves (a fall from which wouldn't leave you far short of the ground - if you were lucky) aren't a pushover either.
