Rockfax Description
Although the climbing is on good holds throughout, it is a fairly steep experience and care is needed to search out the spaced protection opportunities available. Start 2m right of the rib of Hangover. Climb the steep wall to a recess and then continue up the wall above, passing an overlap before exiting rightwards up a groove. © Rockfax

βeta: Lovely route, good holds, protection a bit spaced but fine.

βeta: Found 3 bomber gear placements so surprised by the other comments. Easy climbing with good protection so unsure about 4b HS grade. I am quite tall though which helped. Very loose rock at top so take care when belaying seconder. Could only find 1 anchor point to belay from. Not ideal!

βeta: I thought the gear on this was very poor, even with small nuts, didn't place a single piece I thought would hold, and most of it popped out! Agree with severestu - truly worrying - felt like I was soloing. I was scared of the decking potential on the top moves - I thought that either my foot would slip off the chalky foot holds in the recess, or that the narrow crimpy flake I was pulling up on would peel off! I was also a little dubious about where the route went - the description says up to the recess then right, but in the end I had to meander right then left to even get to the recess.

βeta: Gear isn't great - definitely scope for a quick paddle from half height. Climbing itself not too stiff.
