Adders are frequently seen around Curbar. They are often very well camoflaged so it's worth keeping an eye out when moving into new areas, picking up kit etc as a bite, although not life threatening to most healthy adults can still be nasty.
Ticks are abundant due to a large population of red deer. take care, particularly if passing through bracken below the crag.
Rockfax Description
Scuttle up the thin leaning crack by a tottering layback, especially where the side-wall disappears. Easier for the short-legged but always manages to feel a real struggle. © Rockfax

βeta: Scuttle up? How is this possible? For us it was pure struggle up! Damp and green in places but a lot of fun and fight | βeta?

βeta: Quite reasonable for both grades and surprisingly good fun for a steep Curbar crack. Fiddle in something above the 1/3 height rest, manouvre past the missing sidewall, and enjoy some classic laybacking. | βeta?

βeta: Quite a powerful E2 really, but the difficulties are very short lived. Friend 1.5 crucial. Beautiful! | βeta?
