Review

A key publication that built on the R.G. Higgins manuscript of 1953 that was never actually published. A supplement to bring it up to date was published in 1986 by Roger Brookes and Simon Alden.

There are currently 2 main Malta guidebooks that contain recent route information. The latest is "Sport Climbing in Malta & Gozo" co-authored by Stevie Haston featuring over 500 sports routes, many of them recently established while "Malta Rock Climbing - The comprehensive guide" is a few years old and focuses mostly on trad routes. The Sport Climbing guide can be purchased on the authors' own website: www.maltaclimbing.com whereas the trad guide can be purchased from http://www.maltaclimbingguide.com/
