This is the definitive guidebook to the alternative crags around Finale, which describes all the sports climbing in the valleys to the west of Finale in the region of Liguria. In total there are 5 valleys, which are Val Varatella, Val Nimbalto, Val Pennavaire, Valle Argentina and Val Nervia. Together this combined area has 80 climbing sectors and over 1,100 routes across a wide range of grades on solid limestone rock.

At the start of each crag, is a location map plus further information regarding exposure to the sun, ideal rock climbing season, total number of routes per grade, and if it is child friendly. Each route has a symbol indicating the style of climbing and the type of protection (i.e. bolts) to be found. All the climbs are described with clear topo diagrams and French grades.
