Review

Topo guide to the Karwendel massif above Innsbruck on the border between Austria and Germany.

The areas covered include the Lalidererwände (home to long serious routes such as the Rebitsch/Spiegl, the Rebitsch/Lorenz and the Schmid/Krebs as well as the more amenable Herzogkante), the area around the Halleranger Hut (where Heinz Zak has made a number of hard new climbs; also home to the classic Northeast Corner on the Kleiner Lafatscher), the climbs around the Dammkar Hut, and many more.

The topos are reproduced on pull-out cards to be taken on climbs. Minimal text in German describes approach and descent.
