Review

An up-to-date guidebook for sport routes and deep water solos in Austin, Texas (USA) with a useful index and reasonable descriptions. Not every route has a topo, but those that are included are good quality. The index has two bonus lists of "Starters" and "Finishers" for those looking for particularly friendly or challenging climbs.

The author developed an interesting array of icons (basically emojis) to describe each route's character, direction, and feel. I found these harder to read than the actual route, but they do pass the time on the way to the crag. Local history, first ascents, and (off-)coloured commentary make the guidebook an easy read.
