Review

Poor local topo guide with strangely inaccurate information. Of the crags visited key facts like crag height, angle and aspect were completely wrong - west facing 35m slabs turned out to be southeast-facing 15m overhanging walls, and east-facing slabs for afternoon shade turned out to be due south-facing sun-trap walls. There is no colour, action photos or many route descriptions. Approach information in French is basic and seldom adequate and the close-up maps are mostly missing crucial information like where to park, or where the actual path to the crag is. It does contain some of the main sectors at the crag Presles but calls it 'Coulmes' just to confuse you. There is another more detailed guidebook for Presles (actually called 'Escalade à Presles') but this one is adequate for most visitors.
