Alpenstock is your classic independent outdoor emporium - an Aladdin's cave full of the weird and wonderful. We like to think we're a bit different from the competition. We stock specialist gear for the adventurous - gear that we trust and will last you well.

Take a look at our website to see the kind of thing that we like to sell, but give us a call if you want to buy mail order. We don’t like webshops - we think that you might like to ask questions about sizing, materials, stock availability etc that looking on a website might not be able to tell you. So, call us for a chat and we’ll make sure you’re buying what you need! We ship all over the UK and are happy to quote for sending abroad too.

If you’re looking for a Hilleberg tent, we sell them with 15% discount year round. We stock all Hilleberg models (subject to availability from Sweden, of course)! We’re very happy to show you the tents in the store over a cup of coffee.

We stock a wide variety of climbing gear, a huge range of Scarpa boots, jackets, fleeces and the usual other clothing as well as sacks of all sizes. We also keep maps and guidebooks plus coffee table books in stock.

Like playing in the white stuff? We sell skis and boots as well as ski mountaineering gear and winter climbing toys!

We do the usual 10% discount for members of the BMC, YHA, Scout Association, GirlGuiding UK, Rambler’s Association etc.
