Overview

Situated between the Torridon mountains & the Cuillin Ridge , Mountain & Sea Guides offer a full range of adventure guiding and activities in the NW Highlands from short activity sessions to full winter & summer mountain guiding or sea kayaking all year round. Seasonal summer or winter hillwalking, mountaineering, expeditions and skills training courses.

In winter our guiding playground is in the spectacularly wild Torridon mountains with other routes/days in the Kintail area(Forcan ridge)& in the Fisherfield mountains(An Teallach). We pride ourselves in guiding in remote, unspoilt areas away from the crowds, sharing our passion for wild mountains with our guests every day of the winter season. We also run pure skills based experiences on our Cairngorm Plateau snowholing expedition - see our website for full details.
(we are currently offering all UKC members £100 off any 4 or 5 day winter trip on the website on dates until the end of March or early April.

In summer our speciality is the Black Cuillin Ridge on the Isle of Skye where we bag those difficult Munros or offer the infamous Classic Ridge Traverse - you can currently get £50 off any Skye trip.

And, if you want to get some outdoor adventure in a different way, then join us on our beginner sea kayak expeditions throughout the summer also.

We operate primarily in Scotland but also in the Pacific West coast of Canada and the Dalmatian Islands of Croatia & In Arctic Norway - see our website for full details of the most varied outdoor provider in the Scottish Highlands. Our base in Applecross also boasts the best food, pub & hospitality in the area really adding to your outdoor holiday here in the rugged North West.

Mike ~ personally I don't think the photos do the ridge justice -while it is still fresh in my mind , & before I get back to the daily grind, I wanted to drop you a note of personal thanks. As we set out on the main Cuillin ridge traverse one thing remained consistent throughout & that was your professionalism. Your skilled direction & expertise got us through safely & without a doubt beyond the call of duty. Thanks once again for a great experience. ~ Chris Blincoe May 2008
