Overview

We are a unique B&B smack in the middle-ish, of the Peak District, Crowden just up the road and by the Trans Pennine foot and cycle path. Can cater for up to eight comfortably. I lived at Crowden in Bleak House for 28 years, and witnessed Cudahay flashing past for a brew doing the Marsden-Edale and back, Fawcett and friends camping in the garden, John Beatty traversing the drystone wall without touching the tops and Chris Brasher demolishing my Whiskey Marmalade and Toast as he cooked up the London Marathon. Heady days indeed, and now they continue in the Old Co-op in Padfield, now the Laughing Badger and Cellar Bar. You can even hire the Cellar Bar itself with three bed settees, shower, toilet bar and 120 inch screen hooked up to the TV, what's not to like. If there's a Cellar Bar Session on the night you stay, join in the fun and try one of the first floor bedrooms, while your gear dries and your dog warms up by the fire. Look up Cellar Bar Sessions on Facebook, it's the place to be. And I've not even mentioned the award winning scones yet as part of the deal, oh, and the paintings in the Gallery, I could go on, and confess I often do. Woody
