Overview

Just 15 minutes from the town of Buis les Baronnies, Alauzon offers a wide range of accommodation from a cosy bunkhouse to modern studio for groups from 2 to 30 people.

Set amongst thirty acres of private land, and surrounded by forest, Alauzon offers seclusion without being too far from town. Situated in the heart of the Haute Provence Guidebook (that one of the proprietors wrote), St. Julien and Baume Rousse are just twenty minutes away, and within thirty minutes' drive you will find enough rock for a lifetime, including world-class St Leger and newly developed crags. Climbing equipment (80m rope, quickdraws, harness, helmets, belay devices) are available to rent if you prefer to travel light.

The north side of St Julien has three via ferrata which can be climbed year-round, even at the height of summer.

We are surrounded by forest trails, marked bike routes and some amazing hiking. We have a fleet of mountain bikes to rent at discounted rates for guests and are always happy to suggest a route to please.

The property has a heated outdoor pool (natural- no chlorine), hot tub (by reservation), table tennis, boules and mountain bike rental on site. There is a large playground for children and as we are far from any roads, children are free to explore. Catering is available on request.
