I stayed at this bunkhouse in October 2011. As the description says, it is basic but laid-back and full of character. Shabby climbing chic! It's really well situated for sport routes to the east and Snowdonia to the South West. The listed Victorian buildings are worth a visit just by themselves. Dave and Sam (the owners)are climbers themselves and nothing is too much trouble for them. They have children who live on the site and the bunkhouse and camp-site are fantastic place for kids to explore and run wild. There's tons of parking and space. It's right in the middle of the local village with all amenities, but it feels completely rural. Even if you are not climbing, the farm is a great place to chill out, bird watch, play games etc. Highly recommended.
