Overview

On site camping, self catering cottages, coffee shop, close to Gower climbing and surfing area. Centre provides range of outdoor activities in Great Gower Outdoors.
The wall was built in 1990 by Pete Oxley. At the time it was considered state of the art for the type of wall (beginner's introductory). It is used extensively by the centre as part of children's birthday parties, mult-activity and teambuilding programmes with ten top roped climbs between 3.6m and 5.5m of varying standards. Apart from its primary use there are two 18m long traverses which provide excellent training for climbers who understand that you do not need to go 'up' to improve fitness and technique.

The wall was upgraded in 2005 by an experienced climbing instructor and offers great opportunities for the beginner and experienced climber not used to being 'spoon fed' on modern walls. Many start here and move on to local walls and crags

I can't believe it can be referred to as 'a climbing wall' I have visited many indoor walls around the UK and none even begin to compare to this for poor quality. A small barn approximately 4.5 meters high, with only a few handholds as many have snapped off the walls over time. the ones that remain are loose, which makes it like the climbing version of crazy golf. it is not high enough nor has the bolts to bother to be worth bringing your own rope, and the centres 'rope' (note singular) looks like its been used to tow an articulated lorry, due to its low height i assume it is for this reason that it becomes exempt from regulations! these comments are no exaggeration! however, the staff are friendly, and it may be worth checking out the farm for other activities.
