I have to say that maintenance of the wall has really improved. It is very rare that I come in and find the wall dirty, the staff are always helpful and change the holds around quite often so that frequent climbers like me are always satisfied. The wall is great for beginners and advanced climbers however I do sometimes find that the wall is booked out by groups or for cleaning when I arrive so I advice you to ring up and check its free by calling them before. Overall I am very satisfied with the wall at the Blackbrook Pavilion.

Hi My name is Tina and i'm a Duty Manager at the Blackbrook Pavilion, in reply to otziiceman, No member of staff would have said that chalk is less hygenic than dog poo ! the only comment ever made with regards to chalk is that we use liquid chalk as it is more hygenic than powdered chalk ! We are looking at purchasing new holds as certain customers seem to move them around themselves causing considerable damage. Prices are now £3.30 adult £1.80 Student £2.50 Boot hire Any other questions please don't hesitate to contact me at Blackbrook Pavilion on (01823) 333435 Thank You

Prices are now higher. The wall is quite small, and is not cleaned frequently. The holds are also dirty. If you have to get water, it is in the nearby gym. Also the staff think that chalk in the corridors is less hygenic than dog poo!(thats what they told us!)

Not a bad wall for keeping things going. Needs a clean and a change of routes and some proper routes for once!! Now £3.20 for adults i think, £1.60 concessions including students.

Its a bouldering wall really, more than 5 people and its getting a bit crowded, needs a good clean too. Its not bad just for fitness training, best bet is to find some good circuits and see how many you can do. will post photos soon, worth a look at.
