ive been climbing here for about a year and yes its not very big but its crammed full of fun routes if you keep your eyes open, the instructors are really great and there is a real community. as its a real rock and concrete wall the routes are set but as i said use your imaginations and you could climb here happily for years. well worth a trip
I shant lie, I am incredibly new to the whole climbing thing, but first tried it at the Beacon Centre in North Wales. This, however, is the closest option for me and seems reasonably priced - £5.65 a session with all the gear thrown in - including tuition if you're a noob like myself.
Who knows, perhaps I'll find it lacking in options in the future, but certainly seems a very good starting ground and, going on what one of the guys working there said, offering some hard looking routes.
This is reall good old school wall. Top rope routes up to F7a and eliminate boulder problems up to Font 7a ish although harder do exist. Coaching sessions and prices have changed (28/4/06). The only problems are aerobic classes and ignorant, uninterested managment, beta from a regular is also important for most of the elimanates, it also costs a bomb for just an hours use.

A concrete jungle. Nice if you like that sort of thing I suppose. If you can afford it (time/money) jump on a train and go to mile end instead. Incomparably better and well worth the trip.
This is a good wall, it is versatile, and the aerobics class is being dealt with. Although there are only 9 different courses, each one can be changed to make it more difficult, such as using only the square shaped inserts, etc etc. nice people, always willing to help. If you get membethe price goes down to £3.75 per session, and they last for about 1 hour 45 minutes.
Entry fee is per hour, not always enforced. You have to contend with super loud aerobics classes on Sunday and Wednesday club? sessions (usually poor value).
