Established in 1992 we offer qualified guiding, rock climbing and ice climbing.

Alpine trekking holidays, scrambling courses on Skye , winter mountaineering and winter skills courses, private guiding and instruction.

With more than two decades experience of running winter mountaineering courses in the Cairngorm we are the first choice for those based in the Cairngorm National Park near Aviemore.

Local Aviemore instructors Ron Walker (WMCI, IML, SL) and Fi Chappell (IML) of Talisman Mountaineering Activities (established 1992), provide friendly, qualified guiding & instruction in mountain sports.

Whether you are looking for a relaxing Highland walking holiday, trek in the Alps private guiding or a heart-thumping climbing or activity course, we are there to guide you safely through your chosen adventure.

Talisman YOUR local Cairngorm Guides, provides guided glen & mountain walking all year round. In winter, we run mountaineering, winter walking skills & winter climbing courses - from snowholing to ice climbing. Summer is the time for hillwalking, scrambling, rock climbing & abseiling and heading for the Alps.

For well over 25 years we've been living near Aviemore amidst the beautiful scenery of the Cairngorms National Park. This fascinating area provides us with a spectacular backdrop for many of our our LOCAL courses and activity holidays.
