Overview

Polmont Hill Walking Club was founded in 1983 and has up to 25 members, some of whom have completed the Munros on more than one occasion. Their knowledge of the hills of Scotland is invaluable to people who are perhaps new to hillwalking or those looking to walk with an experienced walking group.

The club is based at the Greenpark Community Centre, Polmont, Falkirk, Scotland and meets on the third Wednesday of each month at 7.30pm. The club offers a variety of low level and high level walks (Munros/Corbetts). The club also organises weekend trips to places such as the Isle of Skye, Torridon, Fort William and Braemar. There have also been occasional trips to the Lake District.

Walks are planned in advance and a days walking usually consists of gathering at the Greenpark Centre and travelling in private cars.

New members are always welcome so if you are interested in a great way to keep fit and visit some beautiful parts of Scotland, then come along to one of the club nights or contact Andy Govan (Club Chairman) Tel. 01324 711915 or John Speakman (Club Secretary) Tel. 01506 825105, for more information.
