Overview

IMPORTANT: This is a climbing complex on a military establishment. Visitors are welcome, but please prearrange through Facebook (search: RAF Honington Climbing Club) or the contact number above.

Lead Climbing:

A 10m tall by 25m wide lead climbing wall that has 14 lines. The lead climbing wall has slab, vertical, overhanging and dihedral faces leading to great varied climbing. Approximately 40 - 50 routes, in grade ranges 4 - 7c. All climbing wall panels are textured and featureless; giving maximum friction and route setting potential.

Bouldering:

A 5m tall by 15m wide bouldering cave that is 3m overhanging at it's greatest. Approximately 35-40 problems, in grade range F5 - 7b. Protective matting is in place. Panelling is textured and featureless.

Kit and Equipment:

There is a limited pool of shoes available, and plenty of harnesses available. Where possible it is advised that visitors should bring their own.

Top ropes are provided with Club membership. Lead ropes and Learn To Lead is at additional cost.

Thanks for a superb night's climbing. The routes were well set, some really techie stuff to try out, great lead wall. Great training venue for climbers. No distraction from cafe - there isn't one. Hopefully word will get out and more folk can give this a go.
