Is this wall still open anymore ?

Oldham Climbing Club are there on a Wednesday night 6pm till 7pm and encourage people to come down for a free session (under 18's require Parental consent). The wall is having a bit of cash spent on it in the New Year and routes are being set on a regular basis. Good fun to be had for the beginner and intermediate. See www.energize-oldham.org.uk

I used to go there on a course and found it good fun because they had great instructors. Great for kids and beginners and I mean beginners there are know real chalenges there at all. but to be honest you are better off going rochdale, Oldham needs to start all over again with new instructors and better staff.

Just spoke to oldham sports center who said the wall is now closed to public access

the wall is currently been rearanged and they are putting money in for new holds this is been done by a new instructer who should be able to turn this around regarding its crappy condition personally the wall will never be exiting enough to do anything other than boulder

DON'T GO. Kids come in off the street and ask "can you do that one, can you do that one, what about that one" The staff are to bothered about when their shift finishes to chuck them out. It lacks charisma and anything thats drags you to make you excited. It's bland and boring and quite honestly the council need to put their hand in their pocket and re-vamp. There are lots of new walls sprouting up around the area it will die a slow death. Sorry but it needed to be said.
