Overview

Red Rope is a national walking and climbing club, with members in a dozen regions of the UK.

We go country walking, hill-walking, rock-climbing, and mountaineering, plus the pub and the teashop of course. There is plenty to join in with, whether you want to really stretch yourself, or just gently explore the outdoors.

There are day events, socials, weekend and longer trips, getting close to wonderful places all over the UK. Recent trips have included winter walking in Scotland, kayaking on the Wye, the annual gathering in the Peaks, tea-shop walks in Shropshire, backpacking in Yorkshire, walks along the Chiltern Way and South Downs.

Beginners are very welcome. You can usually meet your local group at a social or on a walk, or at the crag
