Overview

We are off the beaten track. We are a small, basic Campsite with almost wild camping. Each pitch has a fire pit. We can supply firewood and kindling, along with meat and fish from the farm at the bottom of the hill. We have cold drinking water and chemical toilets. We like climbers and cavers, dogs and children. Not keen on hen or stag parties or recorded music.
You can walk to Cheddar Gorge although it's a good 90 minutes. Closer is Sandford Quarry and Churchill Rocks. If it rains you can walk the Mendips from the camp or try the mountain bike routes around Rowberrow Forest. 30 minutes to Avon Gorge and all those indoor walls or Fairy Cave Quarry and other East Mendip trad and sport or try the hard sport at Brean. Not to mention the odd bit of caving.
