Overview

Arguably the most comfortable hut of its kind in Snowdonia; Dinorwic Mill Cottage was purchased by the club in the mid 1960's and has been greatly improved over the years. It now boasts spacious sleeping quarters with regular and 'alpine style' bunks for up to 12 people. A central lounge with comfy sofa's and two refectory style dining tables. A very well equipped kitchen with two hobs, fridges, oven, toaster and all the catering equipment you could possibly need. The recently upgraded wash rooms have two toilets, two basins, and a mains pressure shower with on-demand hot water. There is no open fire but the hut is centrally heated throughout.

Outside the hut has a small grassed area that has room for a few tents to provide additional accommodation if required. There is space for 6 or 7 cars to park outside the hut. Situated on the edge of the lovely village of Brynrefail, the hut is very well located for access to Snowdonia and the nearby coast. There are plenty of great walks, runs, and cycle rides (on-road and off-road) that can all be done straight from the hut. There's even a small outcrop of rocks with some bouldering next door. If you fancy eating out why not head to the Caban in Brynrefail, or one of the many venues to eat and drink in Llanberis.

The hut is available to be booked by club members (who receive a discounted rate) or by other clubs and groups. We charge per person per night at the rates listed below. These rates are inclusive of electricity and gas, although as these are increasingly expensive we ask all hut users to help us minimise costs, and environmental impact, by using only what you need. Please note that unless you book the hut exclusively there may be other club members (or non club members) staying at the same time. Children are welcome at the hut, however you must ensure you read and comply with the clubs rules on children at the hut (and on meets).
