Metanoia 65: 85

The Metanoia 65:85 is the ultimate climbing pack for multi-day expeditions. Ideal for an alpine style assault on a classic north face or an unsupported expedition into the greater ranges; the Metanoia 65:85 is the only choice for climbers who need to carry large loads, tools and equipment over challenging mountain terrain for extended periods.

Metanoia 65:85The Metanoia 65:85 was designed to celebrate both Jeff Lowe’s unrepeated ascent of his route Metanoia (VII, 5.10, M6, A4) on the Eigernordwand and the recently released, award winning film about his life, ‘Jeff Lowe’s Metanoia’.

Jeff and his brothers set up Lowe Alpine in a basement in Utah in 1967 and this pack remains true to the original vision of the company, it is simple, lightweight, very strong and packed with functional features.

The pack features the double HeadLocker system for attaching axes securely to the pack, the WebCatcher system for attaching poles, skis and axes, compression straps, a stowable hipbelt and our toughest ever TriShield ripstop fabric.

By combining a large body, 20L extendable lid with a fully featured climbing pack we have created something that is as at home carrying loads of 25+ kilos as it is compressed down and stripped for climbing hard, steep terrain on ice and rock.

For more information about the Metanoia 65:85 you can watch this short series of videos, in which Lowe Alpine brand ambassador Andy Cave talks us through some of the features that pack this climbing back so unique.
