A modern approach shoe must satisfy many requirements. It has to offer good traction on both the approach terrain and on rock, with good foot support and comfort. It has to be as light as possible, but resistant to abrasion with a versatilty making it suitable for a range of mountain activities. The Mammut Alnasca Knit Low does all that and features a very grippy but hard-wearing Michelin® Rock Tech sole.

The Alnasca Knit Low combines state-of-the-art technology with proven components to create a comfortable, grippy climbing shoe.

Its double shell construction means that it offers the perfect fit, a high level of protection and abrasion resistance. The elastic sock design is made from modern 3D-knitted material and means that the shoe fits precisely. The abrasion-proof outer material and rubber toe cap offers protection from sharp rocks and scree.

The generously cushioned SOFtech™ EVA wedge in the heel and the Michelin® Rock Tech sole, made from extra-grippy OCX rubber, improve comfort and grip when climbing and on the approach to the rock face.

Marc Estor Head of Business Unit Footwear, Mammut Sports Group AG:

"The MICHELIN Rock Tech sole is the second proposal developed with Michelin after the Alpine Lite 3970. It offers unique grip on the rock, regardless of the conditions. It offers optimum grip and significant accuracy in more technical laps on the mountain".
