For outdoor lovers who prefer to travel swift and light, Asolo presents the Nucleon GV as part of their new light-hiking collection, 'A-Fast', a stylish new range of walking footwear designed to offer versatility, comfort and durabiltity in a lightweight form. The Nucleon GV is constructed from lightweight materials and technologies selected for their proven peformance and reliability in the mountains, so you get a trail-ready shoe that's suitable for light hiking on mixed terrain, multi-season travel and urban casual-wear.

The new joint project Asolo®/Vibram® Synthesis sole unit is key to the Nucleon's versatility, and features a Vibram® Megagrip outsole. This unique rubber compound effectively increases grip on wet and dry surfaces and offers excellent longevity and adaptability to a variety of ground. Synthesis's low profile lug pattern offers good surface contact, plus it's self-cleaning lugs shed dirt and prevent clogging. The Synthesis midsole is moulded from a new generation, mono-density EVA compound that offers a good balance of elasticity, fit and shock absorption - ultimately creating the cushioned support needed for energetic day hikes.

Nucleon's clean, simple design consists of a one- piece, water-resistant Suede upper with Schoeller® Soft Shell ankle cuff and soft-touch microfibre lining; all lightweight, quick drying materials that provide good durability and breathability. A moulded rubber toe cap protects against abrasion and minor impacts, and lightweight lacing with perforated eyelets avoids excess weight in this area. Asolo purposely selected non-insulated Gore-Tex® Extended Comfort Footwear linings for all A-Fast styles including Nucleon as these optimise breathability and keeps feet cool and dry during high energy use in warm conditions.
