An exciting opportunity has arisen for an EU Product Line Manager at Osprey Europe’s brand new purpose built Headquarters in Poole, Dorset.

Osprey Europe was established in the UK in 2003 to handle supply of Osprey products to the European market and to increase its global recognition as an industry leader.

Reporting to the Sales Director, this new post has been created as a result of the company’s success and rapid growth, and is expected to evolve as Osprey Europe continues to expand. This is a fast-paced, innovative company which prides itself on delivering high quality products and excellent customer service.

The role is responsible for:

• Assisting the Design, Web, Creative, Marketing and Sales teams in delivering seasonal product lines via product development and design liaison. Major projects will include workbook and website technical data. You will also organise the sample notification, allocation and ordering process.
• Specification tracking and reporting, including product-related data capture and ongoing data management and integrity. This will include submitting sales data to any 3rd party reports (e.g. EOG and Profile UK).
• Coordinating and leading product line research, planning and management as well as making commercial recommendations with regards to product opportunities.
• Investigating Osprey Europe product line effectiveness at a SKU level (in terms of styles, colours, sizes and range structure) and analysing competitor product and pricing structure. Recommending any required commercial changes in response to this information.
• Highlighting any potential quality assurance issues and communicating these to Osprey Vietnam.

You will also be expected to develop and maintain a thorough and complete understanding of all Osprey lines and assist with product training.

To apply it is essential you have knowledge and/or experience of:

• The outdoor (industry) environment and the European market
• Osprey products including technologies, design concepts, materials and construction methods
• Supporting Sales and Marketing processes
• Working in a core function within retail sales
• Successfully operating a complex database
• Advanced Microsoft Office Systems skills
• Delivering training sessions

You must have strong commercial awareness and possess excellent verbal, written and presentation skills. You will also show a high level of attention to detail and data accuracy, as well as being self-motivated and having strong organisational skills. With the ability to identify and resolve problems quickly and easily, you will be able to build and maintain lasting relationships. With high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasm, you must also possess a genuine passion and interest in Osprey products and participate in outdoor activities.

It is essential you have the ability and willingness to travel around Europe when required.
