Red Spider is building a brand new bouldering centre in Fareham, to service the Portsmouth and Southampton areas with over 1,000m2 of climbing, including a 35m competition wall, cafe, retail and a dedicated children’s area.
Position: Centre Manager, Red Spider, Fareham
Contract: Permanent full time contract with typical benefits
Start Date: ASAP, with a target open date for Red Spider at the end of August / mid-September
Main responsibilities include:
• General management of the centre, ensuring successful day to day running and a high quality of customer service;
• Oversee the management of the operations, including standards, health and safety, cash, stock, systems, financial and management reports;
• Recruitment, training, leadership, management and motivation of staff;
• Active member of the Spider Climbing group’s senior management team, working with other key members to deliver courses and coaching, route setting, marketing and promotion;
• Promote the values and vision of the Spider Climbing Group.

• Enthusiastic active climber with interests in indoor and outdoor climbing
• Outstanding focus on high quality customer service
• Excellent communication, literacy, numeracy, and organisational skills
• Flexible approach to working hours, including working evenings and weekends as required
