The partnership extends Arc'teryx's extensive testing program of high-performance mountain apparel. Under the agreement, Arc'teryx will be the exclusive clothing supplier to the BMG covering soft and hardshell, base layers and packs. In addition, Arc'teryx will also provide support to the BMG for their training scheme.

"The new contract represents a significant next step for our relationship with the BMG. Over the past three years the BMG has been instrumental in bringing the Arcteryx brand to the forefront of the European guiding scene with many British guides working in the Alps in places like Chamonix. Arc'teryx and the BMG are very excited about the next three-year partnership agreement which will involve increased support as well as a focus on grass roots events and social media content support from the BMG," commented James Bronson, Pro & Industry Sales Supervisor at Arc'teryx.

The BMG are among the world's most highly qualified mountain guides, with members holding the IFMGA carnet, the highest qualification in the world for mountain guiding. The IFMGA Carnet is also the only UK Qualification valid abroad for taking clients climbing and skiing off-piste and on glacial terrain.

Commented Andy Perkins, Equipment and Partnerships Officer at the BMG; "The partnership between the BMG and Arc'teryx is a natural one, given that we're both at the top end of our respective fields. The Arc'teryx team are great fun to work with at a global, European and UK level. We're looking forward to getting out in the mountains with them a great deal over the next three years."

Around 20 BMG guides will be onhand at the third Arc'teryx Alpine Academy in Chamonix, which takes place on June 13-15th 2014
