Lowe Alpine's investment in its future continues with the launch of a new website, which went live in early March. The result of nine months of development, the website is designed to be as intuitive as possible for consumers with product information never more than one click away.

“Our ideal throughout this development has been for the site to be demonstrably best-in-class in the outdoor industry”, says marketing manager Rin Colombi. “The first priority is to ensure that detailed product information is easy to find, with single-click navigation and rich content including 360° spin images with zoom, design 'hot spots' and multiple videos explaining every key feature. There's also a Pack Chooser tool, which guides users to find the perfect backpack for their activity. Once product selection has been made, the worldwide Where To Buy finder uses Google Maps to quickly locate your nearest stockist.”

Once in the site there's a 'ripple effect' for visitors as they find wider information and points of interest. The Support area is a resource filled with useful information, tips and design tweaks; “Everything you ever wanted to know about Lowe products and how they are constructed” according to Colombi. “Then there's The Hub, effectively a site within a site, a community area filled with a wide variety of entertaining content whether that's meeting our sponsored athletes, interacting via social media, finding out about events or taking part in competitions. For instance we've just uploaded the latest rough-cut footage by Hotaches Productions from their forthcoming film about Andy Cave and Scottish winter climbing.”

Website build was by Lancaster-based digital agency NuBlue.
