We’re looking for someone who’s a team player and passionate about our products and the outdoors. The ideal candidate will have an enthusiastic ‘can do’ approach, a love of great gear and bring a wealth of experience to the role. This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a successful company that’s really going places. Reporting to the Design Manager you will be responsible for the following:

Key responsibilities:

• Work with the Apparel team to design commercial product options
• Be involved in the design process from start to finish, from the initial design concept through to prototyping to salesman samples
• Conduct appropriate research into trends via media, relevant trade shows and retail visits
• Produce master style fits/product briefs required to manufacture the garment
• Liaise with factories in the far east to ensure the quality is consistent and in line with master style documents
• Visit and work at factories overseas to ensure the quality standards are achieved and maintained
• Pattern cutting and grading
• Be involved in the sourcing of fabric from overseas
• Work on two key seasons collections per year (Spring/Summer, Autumn/Winter)

Competencies:

• Experience using the following software; Excel, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and CAD
• Have a creative flair, a good eye for detail and the ability to work accurately whilst under pressure
• A passion for the outdoors and a knowledge/interest of outdoor clothing and equipment
• Team commitment, enthusiasm and a willingness to learn
• Ability to prioritise and meet multiple deadlines


Experience & Qualifications:

• Must be able to demonstrate at least 3-years’ experience in a similar position
• Be a skilled product developer with involvement in the design process from start to finish
• Must have previous experience of liaising and visiting factories in the far east
• A relevant Design qualification would be preferable, but not essential
