The backbone of the event is the international film competition with the best films from the Banff Mountain Festival, but the packed and diverse programme means you'll always find the eclectic and unexpected at LLAMFF. A stunning line up of speakers gives you the chance to hear first-hand the stories that make the headlines including some from the perspective of seeing the action unfold through the lens.

The International Film Competition includes UK Premiere showings of several films such as The Path of the Condor set in Patagonia, the coming-of-age movie 2 Frogs in the West, and the 'video poem' Centipede Sun. Having recently picked up the Best Climbing Film at SHAFF, The Prophet will be screening and Paul Diffley will be showing a new edit of The Pinnacle in HD on the LLAMFF big screen.

A Saturday night highlight will undoubtedly be going behind the scenes with leading adventure cameraman, Keith Partridge. There's very little Keith doesn't know about what it takes to get 'out there' and come back with inspiring images and audio. Keith was one of the cameraman behind the recent BBC flagship series The Human Planet and the BAFTA winning film Touching the Void.

Artist/Climber Andy Parkin not long back from his winter soloing exploits in Nepal will be building a sculpture over the week beforehand to unveil at LLAMFF.

Based at the foot of the iconic Llanberis Pass and Snowdon, the magnificent backdrop couldn't be more appropriate, attracting as it does walkers and climbers all year round seeking their own adventure. LLAMFF promises to be an inspirational festival in an inspirational setting.
