With the best winter in my memory slowly melting away its time to think about the summer rock and mountain courses.

We have already had clients on rock climbing and summer mountaineering courses so the season is under way in the Highlands. Mountain Plan and Dan Goodwin are a small independent provider of mountain skills training courses in the Scottish Highlands.

Based year round in Aviemore in the heart of the Cairngorm National Park. Having been based in the Highlands and been working on the crags and in the mountains for the last decade I have got to know the ground well and can vouch for the amazing wealth of things on offer here from the stunning mountain venues to the wild unspoilt Western Isles.

We offer a wide range of courses such as: Learn to Lead, Intro rock climbing, Classic climbs, Emergency rope work, Scrambling, summer hill skills, guided hill walks, Navigation training and many more. All our courses fall into two categories, one is courses for individuals or groups looking to further there own skill set and climb or mountaineer safely under their own steam or for people who would like the guided experience and who might have targets in mind and would just like to get them done.

All our courses are set to your dates and requirements rather than having set dates we have found that people often have odd dates due to work commitments and we are happy to work with those. We also give an outline as to what course we offer but they are also tailor-made so if you have something in mind then feel free to get in touch to chat through those ideas.

All our courses are set in the Scottish Highlands whether it's the wild West Coast or the Cairngorms towards the East then we are happy to accommodate that and also some dates are in the English Lake district.
