Join us for an evening celebrating our climbing heritage at George Fisher
Working alongside Patagonia we have spent the past year exploring some of our climbing history at George Fisher. We wanted to retrace the journeys and routes first taken by the Abraham brothers and George Fisher and tell new stories that recapture the essence of adventure that inspired them. We have put together a book filled with stories, photos and beautiful line-scape drawings all compiled together into our book 'Climb'.

We picked out four routes, New West Climb on Pillar, Keswick Brothers Climb on Scafell, Abraham's route on Dow and Kransic Crack at Shepherds. We headed out with climbers from the lakes and further afield, Robbie Phillips, Drew Smith, Charlie Woodburn, Gilly McArthur and more to rediscover the routes.

We also worked with artist Mark Richards who provided fantastic hand-drawn pictures of each of the crags. We spoke to local climber Ron Keyon all about the history of climbing in Borrowdale and his connection with George Fisher, you can read our interview with Ron here.

To celebrate the launch of our book we have an evening of all things climbing here at the shop. Local climber Ron Kenyon will be talking on the history of climbing in Borrowdale and we will also be showing the Patagonia cult classic, 'Mountain of Storms'.
Everyone who attends will be able to get a copy of our new book 'CLIMB'.
Friday 24th of May. Tickets are £3 in advance and £5 on the night. We have a limited amount of 60 tickets for this event. 7pm start. Tickets here
A limited amount of books will be available from the shop after the event.
All money raised through ticket sales will be donated to the John Muir Trust.
