The Salewa Wildfire GTX is a super-techy approach shoe with a sticky Vibram sole and an "Alpine fit" designed to give much better climbing performance than your average approach shoe.
Ideal as an approach shoe for mountain crags, via-ferrata, and scrambling. They are also popular amongst climbing instructors and mountain guides.
Features:
- Waterproof Gore-Tex lining keeps your feet dry in wet grass, puddles, typical UK conditions
- Rubber toe rand and side protection. Mesh sides have a rubber cage to protect them from rock abrasion.
- Exclusive sticky Vibram sole unit features a solid scrambling zone under the toe and a dotted pattern to maximise grip on loose/muddy surfaces.
- A padded tongue and lacing right down to the toe allows precise fitting.
- Nylon loop at the back for clipping them to your harness or hanging them up to dry.
- Salewa Multifit footbeds add comfort and support.
Sizing:
- If you have wide feet buy your usual UK shoe size. You will need to unlace the shoes down to the toe and relace to get the best fit.
- If you have narrow to medium width feet we recommend buying half a size down from your usual UK size.
