New for Autumn/Winter 2019 season

Another key innovation from Mountain Hardwear's recent equipment redesign is the new Alpine Light™ backpack range, which meets the exacting needs of alpine climbers and mountain guides who demand maximum durability at the lowest possible weight, the new AL pack is streamlined for fast-and-light efficiency.

The Alpine Light™ has removed any obstacles for climbers and mountaineers pushing their limits, through its no compromise design which puts their needs at its core.

The Alpine Light™ features super light and super strong Dyneema® composite fabric, the gold standard for weight, strength and resilience. The outer is a 150D Dyneema® composite, designed to resist overpacking and protect against the elements. The base fabric is a robust 375D Dyneema® composite for high abrasion and puncture resistance.

A removable 7000 series aluminium and foam frame-sheet, increases carrying comfort for the approach, while allowing climbers to strip the pack down to an ultralight summit pack. Additional features such as engineered split webbing compression straps, quick access pockets, foam injected grab handles and external ice axe & crampon attachments, make for a super lightweight climbing pack with no compromise on function.

"The new Alpine Light pack is purpose built for alpine missions," says Robert Hollister, Mountain Hardwear's product line manager for equipment. "But in making a super lightweight climbing pack, we didn't lose sight of the functional details that are essential for being comfortable and capable in the mountains. How well the pack carries, how easy it is to access gear—when the details are right, then the weight really becomes impressive."

In retailers from September 2019, Alpine Light™ is available in 28, 35 and 50 litre capacities and sizes Small/Medium and Medium/Large.

Hah. So is it Dyneema, Dyneema/Polyester composite or Nylon (Polyamide)? :)
