The Berghaus men’s and women’s Ulvetanna Hybrid jackets deliver high performance insulation for serious winter mountain adventures. They feature Berghaus’ own award winning Hydrodown® and Hydroloft® technologies and the highly effective body-mapping process that has been pioneered by the company’s MtnHaus® innovation team.
Each Ulvetanna Hybrid jacket combines body mapped 90/10 850 fill goose Hydrodown® with Hydroloft® Elite Pro and PERTEX® Quantum and Microlight face fabrics to deliver durable warmth and protection while climbing or ski mountaineering. The combination of Hydrodown® around the core and Hydroloft® in the high heat/sweat zones improves performance and comfort during long days outdoors. One key difference between the Ulvetannas and other hybrid jackets is the non-migratory Hydroloft®, which does not have to be sandwiched between down proof fabrics, unlike some other synthetics. This allows Berghaus to use face and lining fabrics with higher air permeability, markedly improving comfort during extended use.
The Ulvetanna Hybrid has plenty of useful features, including: a fixed, helmet compatible hood with stiffened peak; two external zipped handwarmer pockets; an internal zipped pocket; stretch binding at the cuffs; drawcord hem adjustment; and a stuff sac. The men’s jacket weighs 409g (large) and the women’s weighs 342g (size 12), and both retail at £250.
