WINNERS: Simon Longworth and Gail Bennet.
The Pro light series were developed by the Chamonix Mountain Guides Company and Millet. The first prototypes were tested for 12 months by the Guides and the series is the official pack of the guides especially the 30L, 25L and 38+10L versions.
The brief was a new light weight but durable, comfortable, slim line and alpine style bag for modern alpinism. Millet developed several new honeycomb nylons for this series of packs to fulfil that. The 30L version weighs 1kg! And has rope carrier, hydration sleeve, ski loops, ice axe loops and the x-lighter nylon rods that give it its stability can be easily removed if you want to roll up the bag and shove it in a bigger one. The 25L version is even lighter for minimalists and comes in at only 870g.
Fitting it is a dream as the way the shoulder harness is stitched to the back panel means it fits a huge variety of shapes and back lengths without the need for various sizes or a bulky and heavy back system.
Adventure Peaks are giving away a Men's Pro Lighter 30 and a Women's Pro Lighter 27.
