Being a Montane product, efficiency and packability are core tenets of the Anti-freeze. Its 750+ fill water-resistant, fluorocarbon-free HyperDRY down ensures an exceptional warmth-to-weight ratio, and it packs down into its (included) dry bag. The down is protected against the elements by a PERTEX QUANTUm 20D nylon-ripstop outer with DWR, providing a robust barrier against the environment, both physical and meteorological.
It is this combination of passive technologies which gives the Anti-freeze an inherently robust quality, reinforcing its actively high-performance outlook and lightweight credentials. Combine this with a well-realised compliment of features such as two-way YKK front zip and internal storm flap and an internal mesh drop pocket, and you have the makings of a truly versatile insulation piece that performs equally well as belay jacket or cold-conditions mid/outer-layer.
The Anti-freeze is designed for active use in mountain environments. Its active-mountain fit and articulated arms allow for unrestricted movement when climbing, and the helmet-compatible roll-away technical hood has three-point adjustment and a stiffened peak to allow for unobstructed head movement and maximum visibility.
The Womens' version has a specifically designed baffle configuration to allow for the down to be held close to the body. This improves efficiency and creates a sleek silhouette, ideal for layering.

A mid-layer and a belay jacket, dang it, I was holding out for a versatile waterproof t-shirt that was perfect as a hard shell for the toughest scottish winter routes but equally at home as a summer jogging base layer.
