Since it was founded in 1960, one of Fjӓllrӓven's constant driving forces has been that good can always be made better and this season, that rationale has been applied to the Keb Jacket. Taking feedback gathered from its own team members, professional product testers and even Fjӓllrӓven's thousands of social media followers, the R&D team has updated the jacket's construction to make it even more comfortable and practical.
Retaining its original hybrid construction that combines durable and adaptable G-1000 Eco (recycled polyester and organic cotton) with a high-quality stretch fabric, the Keb Jacket and Keb Jacket W offer the ultimate balance of protection from the elements and freedom of movement out on the hill. Ideal for mixed conditions, the G-1000 is wind and water-resistant yet breathable. Core vents allow hot air to be released during periods of high exertion and these have been improved for 2019 with new, two-way zips. This offers ultimate ventilation control and, in windy conditions, the option to open the vent a little bit at each end, allowing heat to escape yet stopping the jacket flapping.
The Keb Jacket has also been updated with an improved fit that features a better sleeve construction. A slimmer fit around the bicep reduces excess material and the cuff has been improved with more stretch fabric for greater comfort. Drawcord adjustment on both sides of the waist, make achieving the perfect fit easy. A small loop has been added inside the Keb Jacket's characteristic large chest pockets, perfect for securing a mobile or GPS and the hood has also been revamped. Now designed with the adjustment cords on the outside, it is easier to repair if needed to improve jacket's overall longevity and ensuring it will accompany you for many more years of adventures.

I must say, my Keb jacket is one of my absolute favourite all time bits of kit. I'm glad they haven't changed it too much.
Interesting I have one, and I just can't really understand what it's for. When do you use it?
I use it for everything, a really robust “shell”. I climb and scramble in it, walk the dog in it, nip to the offy in it (you can fit two bottles in each stretchy pocket). It’s really weather resistant when waxed and supple where it matters, plus the hood is like a micro climate when the weather is howling. I just think it’s a great jacket for me as an instructor when I don’t know what I could be doing or what the weather will actually deliver from one day to the next.
i think there’s almost too much to chose from these days, one jacket for heavy rain, one for light, one for emergencies, one to belay in one to climb in and another one for playing hacky sack by the slack line. This one almost does it all for me, I usually wear it over wool and this suites a British climate well.
I suppose the only question I can reply with is: why did you buy it if you didn’t know what it’s for?
